Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde =)

These next three are hilarious to me and I think I need to print the middle one and have it enlarged to put on the refrigerator. We were exhausted- I guestimate we must have walked ten miles that day- so we were resting on a hill of lawn near the White House. Our feet were aching! I went to taking pics and Dave obliged as I clicked and clicked trying to take a self portrait of us that was centered, After a few tries he got sick of it (rofl) and grumbled loudly. I laughed and told him I got THAT in a picture. Next in the sequence is both of us laughing at the thought of getting him growling on the camera. =)

Washington D.C.

I know I am late in sharing these- about a month- and I won't bore you with the lot of pics that I have. Looking at other people's pics can be a miserable experience! LOL! (Can you say TORTURE???) I will only share with you my faves of our pic to D.C. We had so much fun and toured the Capitol building twice and unfortunately the Museum of American History was being renovated which was pretty dissapointing.

Coming out of the front entrance of the Capitol down the stairs is the actual path that the newly elected President takes before the oath of office on the Capitol steps is taken. My husband, ever the lover of our country, had to recreate said journey and here is the path he trod... sans Ruffles and Flourishes or Hail to the Chief.

Mr. President...

First Lady??? =0

Overlooking the Mall while coming out of the Capitol from the Rotunda-

This is in the Rotunda in the Capitol Building. This is where many of our Presidents such as Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan laid in state preceding their burial. Call us Corny. It was my brilliant idea.

More Woo Bang Pics

Taking a well needed break. I think I am getting old!

We went to the ice rink to watch the ice skaters and to cool off since it was hot outside. There were two classes being given at the time, figure skating for girls and speed skating for boys. I asked if I could take one of their pictures, and he got all of his class buddies into the act. Now, I ask, you, how cute is that??? =)

Another 'aerial' view from the top of the roller coaster.

Woo Bang Tower Land

On the fourth of July weekend we went to Woo Bang Tower Land. It is an amusement park, skating rink, and aquarium. You can also go up in the tower to the viewing deck. It is similar to the Space Needle in Seattle with a rotating restaurant. Since coming to Korea, I always wanted to get a birds eye view of Taegu from here, and now I can say I have-

More pics tomorrow!

What a view that last pic is, upside down and all, eh? =)

Temple Pics

Thought I would post the remaining pics of Dong Ah temple. The building pic is directly across from the Buddha Statue.

I hope to get some stitching done today! Hooray!

Taegu Daytrip

Yesterday we had to go to Taegu for business errands and in the evening met friends at Out Back Steakhouse in Dong-song-no. (In case you are wondering- it really is Outback!) That left us with a few hours to wander around Taegu.

I love street scenes and I these are two of my favorites that I took yesterday in Dong- song-no. It was getting to be dusk and the neon lights were starting to shimmer and it is so pretty. Dong-song-no is a very hip place to go shopping and where all of the young couples and people hang out. It has restaurants such as Outback Steakhouse, Bennigan's, McDonald's, Burger King and all sorts of eateries.

The second pic is my husband Dave eating Instant Ramen on the bus. If you haven't tried Korean ramen (pronounced ramyen in Korea) it is very spicy and very good.) Ramen connosieurs - of which I am not one- say a slice of cheese in it melted and stirred up makes it very tasty. The best brand is Shin Ramyun.

Korea has been a whirl of activity with the World Cup Games. Since there is a game against the Swiss today, everyone has been decked out in the team color, red and decorating anything and everything!
