Baskets and Lace Post Card finished!

Well, I think I am getting the hang of this although I do have areas I still need to remedy. Here is my finished PC along with a few close ups.

The buttons on the top left of the card are vintage doll buttons. The buttons in the top right cluster are also vintage except the brown leaf button.

I am pretty pleased with my SRE floral and many thanks go to Melissa for the tutorial on her blog about how you pull the ribbon when doing Silk Ribbon Embroidery. It really makes a difference! Before my leaves and buds had a rounded end and now they are more pointy from pulling in the direction of the ribbon of the ribbon.

I want to get a stamp for the back of my postcards to make it look more professional then hand drawing it with a pigma pen. Here are some links to similar ones I am looking at.

  6. here about the featherweight 221 group, I want to say you, that the postcards are so wonderful. The embroidery with silk ribbon is great. In Germany the most of the fabric artists make their art with machine and with new materials. So your work ist so difficult but so nice.
    Best wishes from Berlin/Germany
