Back on the Walking Wagon

Well, today is officially day number one.

I know it is a bit early for a New Years Resolution, but today is the day I am officially walking. I have added a tickerfactory counter at the bottom of my blog which will count my steps made daily tallying up to a weekly count as I input them. I could have chosen a 'pounds lost' ticker and it would have chronicled that goal, but instead I am deciding to focus on the exercise and measurements instead of the pounds. They will come off as a result.

  1. 70,000 a week is a noble goal! Is that all your steps, or just when you are walking for exercise? Either way, that's a lot! I only count the exercise steps, but I'll be happy to join you for a daily count.

    10,000 steps a day is the goal and the weekly goal is 70,000. I would wear the pedometer all day. If I don't actively exercise then it is impossible to hit the goal. I would love to have you join me! A whole bunch of us started earlier and I fell off the wagon. Wanting to get back in the swing of things. So far, my pedometer is at 4623... i have a long way to go! It is said the walking 10000 steps is the equivalent of walking 5 miles.

  3. My pedo has been sitting on my nightstand for a couple of months! lol I have had great difficulty getting to the exercise, but I'll tell you what-
    I'll take the challenge of starting to wear my pedo again! I usually wear mine from the time I get up till I go to bed. I tend to move around my house a bit hyper, so I would get in more steps. I'll let you know how it goes...
