A Korean Treasure lost to fire

Namdaemun Gate in Seoul is the number one National Treasure in Korea. It was originally constructed in the 1300's and is the last wooden structure from the Choson dynasty. Some sorry excuse for a person set it on fire last night and it burned down to its foundation. Call me mad. No livid. I can't believe someone would do something like this. A terrible tragedy.

  2. I saw this on the news, and do not blame anyone for being angry about it. Some would say it's just a thing, but it meant something to the people of Korea and Seoul. It had age and beauty going for it, as well as what it stood for to the people of the country.

I hope they catch the person who did it, and punish him or her severely. I just can't imagine how devastated the people of Korea are.

  4. I have no idea of the political history, but no matter, the loss of a treasure is just that. I know hearts ache with sorrow and anger because I have no connection, but it truly saddens me!
